At 18 years old I received an academic scholarship to attend Goodfriend School of Business. Graduating as valedictorian I was instructed to pursue higher education in order to “fulfill my ambitions”.

A few semesters in, I felt this overwhelming internal fire that if I was going to spend the next four years of my life studying, I needed to do it in the real world.

I transitioned into the retail business, where I quickly was placed into management and moved up the ladder. A few years later I found myself managing the number 1 production store in the country. Being told I did not have the tenure to increase my compensation and that no other higher position was available

I made a decision to bet on myself.

This pivot introduced me into commission sales. While struggling for the first 4 months, I quickly realized that sales craft was just a skill set that I must acquire. Jordan Liles became my mentor, and I then spent 60-80 hours a week learning sales craft. I found myself at that point consistently competing within the top 3 of the organization. My family had never seen the amount of money that I was blessed to be making at this point.

However, that same internal flame pulled me to realize I was in a comfortable position. This was simply not acceptable.
